My mother has had
this in her garden as long as I can remember. She got it on
a hillside in West Virginia, but grew it all over the
southern United States and in Ohio. Now it can be found at
garden centers and in mail order catalogs like Michigan
Bulb. The blooms open with the setting of the sun and smell
wonderful. The musky scent is strong and can conflict with
other flowers, so be careful where and with what you place
it.
